This beautiful fabric is made from the outer layers of the stalks of banana trees which are dyed with natural indigo dyes from local plants. The fabric is woven into this beautiful French stripe on hand-operated wooden looms.

Naturally coarse, it is easy to wipe down so makes a perfect table runner for a sophisticated dressed dining table, laid over a white linen table cloth or directly on a timber or marble table top.
